Rachel Royal is a Charter Advisory Board member and the Chair of the Outreach Committee. The Advisory Board is tasked with offering strategic advice and guidance, ensuring decisions encompass a wide range of expertise and perspectives vital to the mission. Rachel Royal, in her influential role, actively collaborates with the Executive Director and the Chair of the Board to pinpoint critical areas where the Advisory Board's expertise is paramount. These areas include strategic planning, policy development, and significant organizational initiatives.

Beyond JFAP

Rachel Royal owns Royal Touch Project Solutions, through which she offers consulting services to law firms and nonprofits. Additionally, she is the Project & Finance Manager for the North Carolina Equal Access to Justice Commission. In that role, she has coordinated the Driver’s License Restoration Project clinics, as well as the Housing Stability Project, and assisted with launching the Wake County Legal Support Center. Rachel’s legal experience includes family law, civil litigation, contracts, and municipal law. She has volunteered for numerous statewide pro bono projects and served in several roles with the NCBA Paralegal Division, including as a Council Member, Secretary, and Pro Bono Co-Chair.
